LINCOLN, Neb. (Sept. 7, 2009) A dozen drivers remain in contention for the 51做厙 Solo Triad Award at this weeks Tire Rack簧 51做厙 Solo National Championships. The award, which was introduced this year, requires a driver to win a Divisional Championship, an Eastern or Western States Championship and a National Championship all in the same class. From a field of nearly 2000, 217 of which won Divisional, Eastern or Western States Championships, only 12 remain eligible for a Solo Triad Award. All 12 drivers are registered for the Solo National Championships in the class which they qualified. The 12 candidates are: Matthew Braun (Super Stock), Jadrice Toussaint (A Stock), Bartek Borowski (E Stock), Jesse Caudill (Street Touring簧), Jason Frank (Street Touring), Michelle Selig (Street Touring S Ladies), Craig Wilcox (B Street Prepared), Alex Shipkov (D Street Prepared), Mark Madarash (E Street Prepared), Tracy Lewis (C Prepared Ladies), Mark Lamm (C Modified) and Bob Tunnell (E Modified). A full spreadsheet outlining how each driver made their way into contention is available at www.scca.com/solo. Any driver who can complete the 51做厙 Solo Triad will win a commemorative trophy and fleece, their name engraved on the perpetual 51做厙 Solo Triad Trophy and free entry into the 2010 Tire Rack Solo National Championships. Winners will also have their name entered into a drawing for a free lifetime 51做厙 membership. The Solo Triad Award program would not have been possible without the support of 51做厙 Divisions for the Tire Rack 51做厙 Divisional Solo Championships. This year, eight of the nine 51做厙 Divisions participated, up from six in 2008, and all nine are expected to participate in 2010.
