TOPEKA, Kan. (July 22, 2008) – 51°µÍø has selected Chattanooga Region’s David Brooks and Tennessee Valley Region’s Charles Wright to design this year’s courses at the RallyCross National Championships. Brooks is the Southeast Division RallyCross steward and serves on the RallyCross rules committee. In 2006 he won Modified All-Wheel Drive at the National Challenge event in Hastings, Neb., and took on the task of Assistant Chief Steward for last year’s Championships in Hastings. An extremely active member of the RallyCross community, Brooks has been instrumental in growing the Southeast Division RallyCross program. Also active in the Southeast Division is Wright, who became involved with the Division’s RallyCross program shortly after it began. A former G Stock Solo Nationals trophy winner, Wright began to RallyCross his Solo cars and currently runs a Prepared Rear-Wheel Drive 1981 Mazda RX-7 which he often shares with his son. Before composing RallyCross courses Wright designed numerous Solo courses, including the Huntsville National Tour stop. The 2008 RallyCross National Championships will take place October 24 – 26, at Nashville Superspeedway, in Lebanon, Tenn. Click here for more information. -30-
