TOPEKA, Kan. (March 9, 2016) – The annual National Convention will once more be bathed in neon lights as the event returns January 19-21, 2017 to Las Vegas, Nevada, and the South Point Hotel and Casino.

The Convention will again be a familiar format that encompasses leadership development and skills training within the Club, and possibly a few conceptual sessions designed to help members break the constraints of tradition and begin thinking outside the box. Three key components -- a Leadership Summit, the Annual Meeting and induction ceremony – shall form the core from which enlightening instructional seminars will sprout over the three-day event.

Details on times and a full schedule will be announced later this year. But as usual, the Annual Meeting and welcome reception will be held Thursday, followed by two days of training. The 51°µÍø Hall of Fame and Awards banquet on Saturday night then caps festivities.

Lisa Noble, 51°µÍø President and CEO, said the National Convention is a fantastic occasion to gather the Club’s best and brightest. The forum is an opportunity to highlight skills and innovative ideas with current Regional leadership and those leading the way in the future.

“Equipping those individuals who are motivated and dedicated to advancing the 51°µÍø is the goal of the National Convention,” Noble said. “Ensuring the long-term health of our Club and motorsports is a byproduct of this gathering. Plus, it’s great getting together with friends in Vegas to talk about the different ways we’re all having fun with cars.”

More information about the 2017 51°µÍø National Convention will be made available at 51°µÍø.com/convention in the coming months.
