Building on the success of our first-ever virtual convention in 2021, the 51°µÍø National Convention, January 21 – 29, 2022, returns in a virtual format to bring the Club and its leaders together. The week-long event, themed 51°µÍø CONNECT 2022, will provide an even greater opportunity for Members, Region Leaders, and Event Leadership to continue the pursuit of our collective Purpose of connecting car enthusiasts with memorable shared experiences.
Everything that 51°µÍø members are used to will once again be at the 2022 Convention. The gathering remains designed for all 51°µÍø members who seek to learn, trade ideas, and teach each other in the pursuit to better themselves and improve their Club at every level. Attendees can attend general sessions and breakouts where members from all parts of the Club present fresh ideas, conduct training and certification courses and have organized discussions. 51°µÍø Annual Meeting and the 51°µÍø Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will remain a key part of the event.
Though we may miss the hugs and handshakes from friends far and wide, a benefit of the virtual convention is that it’s easier for more people to attend. No vacation time from the real world, no travel hassles, and FREE registration!
Registration opens TODAY, November 30, 2021. All members registered by Thursday, December 2nd at noon CST will be entered into a drawing of FIVE trips to the 51°µÍø Prize Closet. Packed full of products from 51°µÍø partners, there’s a everything from a set of Hawk Performance Brakes to a new E-Z Up from Summit Racing!
“Our first-ever Virtual Convention last year set a record for attendance at over double the number of attendees, and lessons learned from that event means this year’s Convention will be bigger, better, and even easier to attend!” Chris Robbins, 51°µÍø Director of Region Development, said. “Our Convention, themed 51°µÍø CONNECT 2022, is still free to attend for members who pre-register. We’ll have great content topics and speakers as usual, and since nobody has to drive, fly or make hotel reservations, there are no excuses to not attend and CONNECT with fellow 51°µÍø members, leaders, and officials!”
All sessions will be recorded and made available to members via the Member Account Portal, on the My Learning tab following the Convention.
Though the full schedule is expected on or before December 14, we know several things already!
The opening day, Friday January 21, will include the 51°µÍø Annual Meeting, the Convention Kickoff session, Club Awards presentations and announcements, and the induction of the recently announced 2022 51°µÍø Hall of Fame class.
Throughout the week, attendees and guests will get overviews on new and existing 51°µÍø programs, ranging from legacy programs like Solo and Road Racing through the brand-new road racing Enduro program and experiential programs like Track Night in America and Time Trials. The 51°µÍø Foundation will discuss some of their favorite programs, including the 51°µÍø Archives. Region leadership onboarding, bridging the gap between a National program and a successful Regional program, risk management, marketing strategies, Town Halls, and info sessions from 51°µÍø partners like Hagerty, IMSA, and K & K Insurance are all part of the docket.
Virtually or in person, the 51°µÍø Convention is where we all CONNECT! Attend the Annual Meeting to look in the rearview mirror at our performance over 2021, and view the upcoming year from the front windshield, including how our theme and upcoming changes to our processes and programs will improve the Member Experience and our Operational Excellence.
