Continuing a year of scholarships aimed at increasing the involvement of women in all levels of motorsport, 51°µÍø Women on Track has announced a new scholarship, this one for the 2022 RallyCross National Championship. The latest 51°µÍø Women on Track initiative will select two recipients for $500 scholarships to assist in their goal of competing at the Sept. 23-25, 2022, RallyCross National Championship at Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain, CO.

Scholarship applicants must be 51°µÍø members and have a vehicle available to use at this year’s RallyCross National Championship.

“RallyCross is one of the 51°µÍø’s most accessible and fun forms of motorsports, and 51°µÍø Women on Track wants to celebrate that with this fantastic scholarship opportunity,” says Kathy Moody, head of the 51°µÍø Women on Track RallyCross Committee. “Competing at the top level of any motorsport is difficult – our hope is to lessen the burden for two competitors at this year’s RallyCross National Championship, allowing them to concentrate on the competition without as much of the financial burden that comes with it. This scholarship will also allow more women to have fun with cars, which is what 51°µÍø is all about.”

Women are encouraged to follow 51°µÍø Women on Track’s page and website, where motorsports achievements from fellow women are shared in an inclusive and safe place.

The 51°µÍø Women on Track RallyCross National Championship Scholarship application deadline is Aug. 10, 2022, with completed submissions being reviewed by the 51°µÍø Women on Track Scholarship Committee.
