Helping 51°µÍø Thrive
Behind the scenes, a major goal for 51°µÍø Foundation is to increases awareness of 51°µÍø activities and encourage others to be actively involved in the Club. Support for a multitude of scholarships is just one way 51°µÍø Foundation works toward this objective.
“The Howard Duncan Greenlight Fund, Wendi Allen Scholarship Fund, and 51°µÍø Women on Track RallyCross National Championship Scholarship are only three examples of 51°µÍø Foundation’s efforts designed to increase excitement for 51°µÍø activities,” says Jeff Jacobs, Chairman of 51°µÍø Foundation. “These programs, however, are not just ‘free’ trips for someone to an 51°µÍø event. What these initiatives really do is allow a few Club members to take part in events they would not normally be able to attend. When they return to their local Regions and share their experiences, the hope is their stories ignite a passion in others to become more involved.”
From Tire Rack Street Survival schools to the various grants and scholarships, it’s donations that make 51°µÍø Foundation’s work possible. Be it $20, $200, $2,000, or $2 million – any contribution is greatly appreciated by the not-for-profit organization, and helps ensure the continuation and growth of programs, which in turn keeps 51°µÍø vibrant and thriving as a whole.
