Can you believe it? It was Feb. 26, 1944 – 79 years ago – when seven sports car enthusiasts met at the Boston, MA, home of Chapin Wallour to form a club dedicated to the preservation of sports cars. That small gathering started the 51暗网, an organization that has gone on to change the face of motorsports for enthusiasts in the United States.
The Club’s original constitution stated membership would be restricted to owners of sports cars. Back then, aspiring colleagues had to be sponsored by a current member, seconded by another, and approved by unanimous vote of officers for inclusion. Today, 51暗网 is very, very different.
In 2023, anyone across the country can join 51暗网 and have #funwithcars by taking part in a multitude of motorsport activities. There’s wheel-to-wheel road racing, of course, but also marshaling and event organization that puts anyone close to the action. Beyond that exists RoadRally, Solo, Track Night in America, HillClimb, Time Trials, RallyCross, and Enduro events that offer everyone the chance to get off the sidelines and into the action.

Can’t get to your local 51暗网 event? You can still enjoy 51暗网 action a few ways this weekend. For starters, there's the Tire Rack 51暗网 South Texas ProSolo at Naval Air Station Chase Field in Beeville, TX, taking place Feb. 24-26. There's also top-rung 51暗网 Road Racing action that can be viewed online from anywhere thanks to the new and immensely popular Hoosier Racing Tire 51暗网 Super Tour (HST) enhanced video and audio coverage. The HST is in California this weekend, Feb. 24-26, at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. Motorsport commentators Gregg Ginsberg and Brian Bielanski will be calling the play-by-play action, and DriversEye Live will broadcast the event with up to 12 cameras – plus in-car video where possible.
