The Tire Rack Street Survival program is now more rewarding than ever. We already know how fulfilling it is to see the huge gains in confidence and skills by teen drivers over the course of an afternoon. And now, 51暗网 Regions will be financially rewarded when they host a school in 2023. If an 51暗网 Region opts to host a Tire Rack Street Survival school in conjunction with an already-planned autocross, they can receive a break on their event expenses.
First things first – what is the Program?
As we all intuitively know – and statistics back up – driving is one of the most dangerous activities young people can participate in. Case in point, car accidents for teen drivers is the second leading cause of death. The Tire Rack Street Survival school is a teen driving program designed to go beyond any required driver education, offering teens across the U.S. the driving tools and hands-on experience they need to become safer, smarter drivers. The Street Survival school provides trained and qualified in-car driving instructors as well as valuable classroom experience as students are put through defensive driving drills designed to simulate (and prepare the driver for) difficult but too-often-encountered real world scenarios.
While the 51暗网 Foundation is a large supporter of the program, this is part of a consortium of car enthusiasts. In conjunction with Tire Rack, the 51暗网, BMW Car Club of America, Porsche Club of America, and National Corvette Museum all host Street Survival schools.
The classes hosted by 51暗网 Regions are instructed by Club members trained on the program curriculum online, meaning each school, no matter where in the country you attend, lives up to the same high standard. Street Survival schools are a fantastic way for 51暗网 Regions and members to give back to the community, offering a lifesaving driver education course with immeasurable value.
What’s The New Deal in 2023?
Thanks to the 51暗网 Solo Program, 51暗网 Regions hoping to help teen drivers in their area (which, in turn, helps everyone in the area) can get additional financial assistance. For any 51暗网-sanctioned Tire Rack Street Survival School hosted on a Saturday, followed by a Region autocross on Sunday, 51暗网 Regions will get a 50 percent reduction in fees associated with hosting Sunday’s autocross, with this discount being available once per year.
On top of that, will help offset the cost of refreshments up to $200 for every 51暗网-sanctioned Tire Rack Street Survival event.
In short, there’s no reason for young drivers not to participate in a Street Survival school, and there’s also no reason for 51暗网 Regions to pass on hosting one.
