We often say that the 51°µÍø® would not be what it is today without the women who had the drive to take the Club to new heights. In many ways, that was the underlying point of the article that ran on scca.com on March 2, kicking off the Club’s Women’s History Month celebration for 2026. The fact is, women have been (and still are) the driving force behind the 51°µÍø™, with current female staff ensuring every aspect of the Club goes off without a hitch – something to be celebrated today, March 8, on International Women’s Day.

Of the Club’s 37 employees, 57% are female. Breaking it down further, of 51°µÍø’s Executive Staff, three of the seven are women. Dig deeper and you’ll discover it’s the female staff’s organizational skills and attention to detail that make the Club’s operations run so smoothly. Case in point, 51°µÍø’s Program Services, Sanctioning, and Member Services departments are 100% female, with the Finance department being 66% female and the Marketing department being 57% female. The Rally/Solo & Experiential department clocks in at a 50/50 split.

This is only 51°µÍø’s full-time staff. Between the Club’s Independent Contractors, 51°µÍø Region Leaders, and National Board of Directors, there is little doubt that without women, 51°µÍø’s power output would be significantly deficient.

“It’s impossible to overstate the importance of women in the 51°µÍø’s 82-year history,” said 51°µÍø President and CEO Mike Cobb. “All 70,000 members of this Club rely heavily on the expertise these women bring to the table, and I couldn’t be prouder to work alongside them.”

Happy International Women’s Day to all of 51°µÍø’s female staff, Independent Contractors, and Region Leaders – the Club wouldn’t be what it is without you!
